About the Role

AEMO is at the heart of energy management in Australia. As a Power System Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the energy system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational planning and support for power system operations
  • Power system engineering, analysis and modelling using PSS/E, PSCAD or PowerFactory
  • Operations technology implementation and maintenance
Required Skills and Qualifications

You will need to have:

  • Strong knowledge of power system operations, including dispatch, outage coordination and system adequacy assessment
  • Expertise in power system modelling and analysis, including load flow and dynamics
  • Detailed understanding of power system plant, including synchronous and inverter-based generation, primary and secondary transmission systems
