We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amazon's Fulfillment Center in Moorebank. As a key member of our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure high levels of availability.
- Put health and safety best practices first in all work carried out, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements through the line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
As an RME Technician, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to machinery issues and carrying out a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. Additionally, you will make suggestions for long-term improvements.
About the TeamOur RME team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We work together to ensure our equipment is performing at its best, and we are committed to innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements- Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license (unrestricted)
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
- Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations
- Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Experience of sortation machines
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
- Experience of print and apply machines
