Senior Technical Inspector

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and execute onshore and offshore inspection activities, ensuring technical integrity, data quality, and compliance with project and safety standards throughout all phases of subsea inspection operations.
This role is an onshore position and will be based in the Perth office. It involves providing technical input for tenders, writing project procedures, ensuring compliance of standard processes and contract deliverables, leading inspection planning and preparation for offshore operations, addressing inspection personnel, equipment and logistical issues, overseeing inspection system readiness and vessel mobilisation, ensuring scope completion with accurate and representative findings of inspection activities recorded, ensuring accurate data capture, quality control, and secure archiving, maintaining inspection documentation and ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards, reviewing inspection data as required ensuring project deliverable expectations are met.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in engineering or a science-related discipline, current CSWIP 3.4U, Subsea Inspection Controller Certification, and knowledge of NDT inspection methodologies and ROV/diver intervention systems. They will also have integrity management systems database configuration and maintenance experience.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external parties. They will also be able to promote safety through participation in toolbox talks and hazard reporting, ensure emergency preparedness and compliance with safety frameworks, work closely with internal teams and external parties, support training and competency development aligned with company competence scheme, and promote teamwork and provide support to junior members of the inspection team.
Key qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or a science-related discipline
- Current CSWIP 3.4U, Subsea Inspection Controller Certification
- Knowledge of NDT inspection methodologies and ROV/diver intervention systems
Desirable qualifications include other relevant NDT qualifications. The preferred candidate will have at least 5 years' experience as a subsea Inspection Engineer on diver and ROV scopes including intervention, pipeline and structural inspection.
