Role Summary
CLS is seeking a skilled Oceanographic Engineer to join its Sustainable Fisheries Management Business Unit. As a key member of the Fisheries Expertise team, you will play a crucial role in mapping data of interest to various fisheries stakeholders, including fishing authorities, industrial fishing vessels, and artisanal fishermen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop daily fishing recommendations for industrial fishing customers, primarily tuna purse-seiners and industrial longliners
- Present CLS solutions to fishermen and provide training on their daily work routine
- Support customers by answering questions related to oceanography and core expertise
Requirements
- Master's degree in fisheries or oceanography, with proven experience in one of these fields
- Passion for fisheries, with a creative and curious approach to solving environmental and economic challenges
- Educational background and ability to share knowledge through training
- Fluency in English, with additional fluency in simplified Chinese or Korean
