About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Oceanographic Engineer to join our team at CLS, a global leader in satellite services combining advanced space technologies with software engineering and data-science.
As a key member of our Sustainable Fisheries Management Business Unit, you will be responsible for mapping data of interest to various fisheries stakeholders, including fishing authorities, industrial fishing vessels, artisanal fishermen, and fisheries researchers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily fishing recommendations to our customers, mainly tuna purse-seiners and industrial longliners
- Presenting our solutions to fishermen and training them on how to use our solutions in their daily work routine
- Supporting their activity by answering any question related to our core expertise, the oceanography
You will be based in Toulouse, France, for the first six months, and then you will be based in one of our subsidiaries either in Indonesia or Australia.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and curious individual with a master's degree in fisheries or oceanography and proven experience in one of these fields.
You should be fluent in English and have a good understanding of the fishing industry and its challenges.
