About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Vision Australia. As an Occupational Therapist - Assistive Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are blind or have low vision to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group occupational therapy training and intervention programs to clients of all ages.
  • Assess and train clients in the use of assistive devices and equipment to perform daily activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and showering.
  • Develop and implement low-vision techniques and strategies to improve occupational performance and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Requirements
  • Nationally recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (or completion of degree and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Knowledge and skills in working with children, adults, and older adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
