About the Role

Alfred Health is seeking a skilled Carer Lived Experience Educator to join our team. As a Carer Lived Experience Educator, you will play a vital role in the delivery of our trainee program, working closely with the Manager of Carer Lived Experience Workforce Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for the trainee program
  • Co-facilitate learning modules for trainees
  • Support with discipline supervision and reflective practice
  • Coordinate carer peer placement and assess job readiness of trainees

Requirements

  • Lived experience as a family member/carer/supporter of a person experiencing mental health challenges
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working in a designated carer lived experience role in a mental health service
  • A passion for the development and education of the lived experience workforce
  • Understanding of co-design principles and experience in project management (desirable)
  • Experience in providing supervision or workplace support to carer lived experience workforce (desirable)
  • Experience delivering training and education or co-facilitating groups for educational purposes (desirable)
