Job Overview

As a highly skilled engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting national security by contributing to the modernization of maritime electronic warfare projects.

You will design and develop rugged, high-availability hardware for deployment on RAN ships, leveraging your expertise in complex engineering fields such as Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical.

Based at the Centre for Joint Integration in Adelaide, you will join a high-calibre team with great benefits and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, deployment, and support of a modernisation of maritime electronic warfare system to the ADF, consisting of complex hardware and software solutions.
  • Design and develop rugged, high-availability hardware for deployment on RAN ships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience in Design Definition, Design Development, Integration, and Verification in one or more of the following engineering fields: Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical.
  • High level of computer literacy coupled with strong Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
  • Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering, including the use of modelling tools.
  • Ability to take a leading role in the team.
  • Experience in a defence-related industry.
