Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Safety Initiatives: Promote and lead safe work practices and adherence to relevant Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality systems, processes, and behaviors at all times.
  2. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Oversee the planning and scheduling of maintenance for Mackay, Townsville, and Cairns Depots to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with safety standards.
  3. Cost Management: Manage maintenance expenditure to achieve operational and cost budgets, maximizing equipment availability and utilization while minimizing production downtime.
  4. Process Improvement: Conduct reviews of current practices and implement improvements through the use of continuous improvement tools, driving efficiency and effectiveness in maintenance operations.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with the asphalt management team to ensure site activities comply with statutory standards, regulatory standards, and contractual arrangements, and drive processes to ensure Heavy Vehicle compliance is monitored and maintained.

Requirements

  1. Safety Commitment: Demonstrate a strong commitment to prioritizing and improving safety, with the ability to use risk assessment tools to identify and implement risk minimization controls.
  2. Maintenance Experience: Proven ability and experience in maintenance management/planning through the use of a maintenance management system such as Maximo, with relevant trade qualifications in an engineering or maintenance-related discipline.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge and understanding of maintenance equipment, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex maintenance issues.
