The position of Principal Data Consultant is available in a company that specializes in IT services and consultancy.

This role requires expertise in data engineering, databases, and modern data frameworks such as data mesh/data grid.

A strong knowledge of AWS, including Redshift, Sagemaker Studio, and Snowflake, is also necessary.

Prior experience working as a data engineer or in a guiding role is essential for this position.

The ideal candidate will have started their career as a DBA in large scale environments and have developed their skills over the last 20 plus years.

They will be able to architect and design comprehensive data programs using their understanding of modern data frameworks.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of experts who are passionate about emerging technology and collaborative environments.

The successful candidate will be part of a wider technical network with offices based in Sydney and Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and champion data strategy
  • Presales and data literacy both internally and within customer environments
  • Lead a Data Community of Practice and associated activities

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working as data engineering/databases background
  • Strong knowledge of AWS
  • Experience working with Redshift, Sagemaker Studio, Snowflake
  • Prior experience of leading a Data Community of Practice and associated activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Thought leader regarding Data and Analytics
  • Attending and presenting at events
