As a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting technical tests and analyses to support environmental sustainability and community safety initiatives.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include collecting, preparing, and analysing water, soil, and environmental samples using specialised equipment and ensuring accurate data recording.

  • Conducting laboratory tests and maintaining detailed records.
  • Assisting in the calibration, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Preparing technical reports and supporting the implementation of laboratory best practices.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Laboratory Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within local government or a regulated sector.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
