Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team in Darwin and Katherine. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking projects that build the capacity of people with intellectual disabilities, their families, and our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Capacity Building: Develop and implement projects that enhance the skills and abilities of people with intellectual disabilities to participate and contribute to their communities.
- Family Support: Provide support and resources to family members of people with intellectual disabilities to empower them to advocate for their loved ones.
- Organizational Capacity Building: Contribute to the growth and development of Inclusion Northern Territory by identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance our services.
- Community Engagement: Promote a community that is inclusive and accepting of people with intellectual disabilities, and work towards creating a society that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.
