Field Service Technician Job Description

Eaton is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, test, commission, service and repair UPS products and systems for critical power applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks with high regard for safe working practices and EHS compliance
  • Install and maintain critical power equipment and perform in-house and on-site repairs as required
  • Liaise with Project Management to carry out site inspection, commissioning and testing of critical power systems
  • Provide technical assistance and support to Technical Staff, Service Contractors and customers
  • Respond to emergency repairs and provide 24/7 standby support
  • Perform FAT/SAT testing and prepare detailed reports
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Grade Electrician
  • 5 years' experience in a technical role servicing electrical or power electronics equipment
  • Diploma or degree qualification in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or Industrial Automation
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office and ERP systems
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven experience writing reports
