**Job Opportunity: Buyer Development Specialist**

We are seeking an individual to play a key role in supporting the wider buying team with product selection, development, sourcing, and administration.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with existing suppliers, understand their manufacturing structure to identify cost opportunities, and review best and worst product reports to provide key findings.

You will develop and select assortments to build a range that is commercially strong, regionally specific, and relevant to our customers. This will involve working across physical stores and multiple online platforms, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements within the buying function.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports wider buying team with product selection, development, sourcing, and administration.
  • Builds relationship with existing suppliers.
  • Understands the manufacturing structure of the supplier's business to recognize cost opportunities.
  • Reviews best and worst product reports and provides key findings.
  • Develops and selects assortment to build a range that is commercially strong, regionally specific, and relevant to the customer.
  • Assists with the management of SKU lifecycle/re-coding.
  • Works across physical stores and multiple online platforms.
  • Identifies and implements process improvement within the buying function.
Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
  • Good data entry and excel skills.
  • Supplier relationship management.
