Job Overview

We are seeking a Buyer Support Specialist to join our team at Sheridan, a leading Australian brand in the home and lifestyle products industry.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to bring their knowledge of buying and put it into practice, while supporting the creation of our ranges and shaping our categories for stores.

  • Supporting with the option plan build, buying and range/assortment of multiple categories
  • Providing analytical support to aid in decision making
  • Conducting market research and analysis to inform business decisions
  • Assisting with costing approvals and code creation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on product launches
Key Responsibilities

The Buyer Support Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the buyer in the procurement process
  • Providing data analysis and insights to inform business decisions
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as an Assistant Buyer or Buyers Admin Assistant, ready for the next step
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competency in Excel, with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables used heavily
