The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pipeline Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, and integrity of our AS2885 Asset Class.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop asset class strategies and life-cycle management plans to ensure the AS2885 Asset Class meets expected service delivery, asset performance, and commercial requirements.
- Identify projects required to deliver the Asset Class Strategies through the development of high-quality opportunity briefs, options analysis, and scope of work.
- Provide project engineering support by performing document reviews, technical query management, and participating in design reviews, HAZOP, and other technical meetings.
- Perform performance monitoring, including compliance to requirements in AS 2885, Jemena specifications, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Provide operational engineering support, including defect assessment to ASME B31G and API 579.
- Investigate and report on incidents.
- Monitor and assess asset integrity, including review of cathodic protection, in-line inspection, and coating defect survey data.
- Review and assess third-party works in the vicinity of pipeline assets.
- Coordinate and participate in risk assessments and AS 2885 Safety Management Studies.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pipeline Engineer with a strong background in the oil and gas/pipeline engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or higher in Engineering.
- Certified Professional Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer (preferred).
- Experience in delivering engineering and technical functions, including policy, standards development, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Good knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
