About the Role

Transurban is seeking a skilled Corporate Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic objectives and driving business growth.

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and modelling support to the executive committee and board. You will assist in preparing valuation and transaction materials, as well as creating and reviewing financial models for new projects and transactions.

You will work closely with other areas of the business to analyse business cases and operational initiatives, and provide insights on their impacts to the Transurban valuation, capital structure, and cost of capital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing valuation and transaction materials and reports for existing assets, ongoing development projects, and potential future investments
  • Support the creation, review, update, and management of financial models for new projects, financing, or refinancing transactions
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business in analysing business cases and operational initiatives, and provide insights on their impacts to the Transurban valuation, capital structure, and cost of capital
  • Develop project management and commercial skills in the context of mergers & acquisitions transactions
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary education and professional qualifications
  • Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis
  • Ability to work with and build 3-statement financial models (including use of macros)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas, findings, and recommendations clearly and engagingly, both in written and verbal form
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm for challenging roles, and high levels of motivation and drive
