As a Relief Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the planning, delivery, and enhancement of academic learning, wellbeing, and vocational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of the school's pastoral care and community development program to meet student wellbeing needs and attendance targets.
- Plan and lead wellbeing programs for students, promoting their strengths, passions, and interests.
- Support the delivery of vocational training programs, fostering intentional relationships with young people.
- Form relationships with students to identify and address their strengths, passions, interests, and unmet needs.
- Hold a Certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services, or a relevant qualification.
- Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies.
- Commitment to working with young people using the Strengths Approach.
