About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and professional housekeeping staff member to join our team at Ingenia Communities. As an amenity cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all appliances are clean and in working order
  • Keep common areas tidy and clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Remove rubbish and empty bins as needed
  • Attend to emergencies and escalate to management as required
  • Sweep, mop, and clean floors in common areas
  • Wipe and clean all benches and tables
  • Empty bins and clean them as necessary
  • Restock hand towels, tea towels, and washing liquid
  • Clean all toilets and toilet facilities, including restocking amenities and cleaning mirrors and floors
  • Clean shower cubicles in amenities facilities daily
  • Review the amenities store room and advise office employees of any required chemicals and supplies that need to be ordered

About You

  • Practical experience in a cleaning role
  • Well-organized and a strong eye for detail
  • Current C-class driver's license (site dependent)
  • Willingness to obtain a First Aid certificate
  • Willingness to obtain a National Working with Children check
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate with all departments
  • Ability to make decisions and work with minimal supervision
  • Confident and able to raise concerns to management or another department
  • Positive and enthusiastic

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of rubbish bins, cleaning supplies, and equipment
  • Use of site buggy
  • Use of broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, and other cleaning equipment
  • Repetitive use of muscular force, bending, twisting, and stretching when performing cleaning tasks
  • Frequent walking around the site
  • Use of cleaning products and chemicals
  • Use of PPE such as rubber gloves and facemasks
