Media Producer Role

The Media Producer oversees the day-to-day operations of news productions, ensuring seamless execution and high standards. This includes creating news bulletins with precision and attention to detail.

As a key member of our editorial team, you will actively contribute to decision-making by identifying and pitching stories that resonate with our audience.

This role requires extensive experience in control room operations and lineup management, as well as strong organizational skills and resilience.

Technical knowledge of iNews and Avid MediaCentral is preferred but not essential. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of news while working as part of a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for effective news production
  • Lead a team to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and pitch engaging stories
  • Maintain exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards
  • Develop and maintain expertise in relevant media software

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of current affairs and issues relevant to our audience
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Degree in Journalism or related field
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
