About the Opportunity

As a dedicated and skilled Facilities Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a high standard of safety and compliance across our portfolio of childcare centres.

This challenging position involves planning and scheduling preventative maintenance, meeting long-term maintenance obligations, and addressing any urgent building issues that arise. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Preventative Maintenance Programs: Create and implement effective strategies to prevent equipment failures, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure Service Contracts: Negotiate and manage service contracts with vendors, ensuring quality work and value for money.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of buildings to identify compliance and maintenance issues, maintaining detailed records and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Select and Manage Contractors: Evaluate and select contractors to ensure quality work, manage their performance, and maintain documentation.
  • Oversee Minor Upgrades and Refurbishment Projects: Coordinate and oversee minor upgrades and refurbishment projects to maintain the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our facilities.
  • Assist in Budgeting: Collaborate with the management team to prepare and monitor maintenance budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Facilities Management: A proven track record in managing facilities, including experience in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance tasks.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Strong initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Planning and Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and management.
  • Working with Children Checks and Police Clearance: Valid Working with Children Checks and Police Clearance required.
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
