A little about the role…

You will be responsible for maintaining and developing backend web systems, primarily working with Python-based frameworks.

You will work as part of cross-functional teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, delivery, and fellow engineers.

This role will suit a mid-level software engineer with a growth mindset who enjoys a challenge and is excited to develop their skills in a new environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working as a mid-level software engineer in an early stage product environment
  • Experience working with Python, especially a web framework like Django, Flask or FastAPI
  • Experience working with SQL databases, such as sqlite or Postgres and basic knowledge of SQL and database querying
  • Flexibility to perform a diverse range of tasks, from supporting existing software systems to building entirely new products
  • An understanding that software needs to respond to customer and market needs
  • Experience with basic software development and agile tooling like Git, Jira
  • An understanding of the hardware and software components of web applications, especially those deployed on AWS
  • Experience working as a part of cross-functional teams, capable of collaborating effectively with product managers, designers and other engineers
