Job Title: Plant Assessor

Estimated Salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum



The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing plant and equipment against industry standards and legislative requirements. This includes conducting regular inspections, gathering supporting information, and providing reports as required.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough inspections of plant and equipment to ensure compliance with LORA Primary Standards, Legislative requirements, and project-specific requirements.
  • Gather and document supporting information as per the Plant Mobilisation documents, and upload it into the System.
  • Notify suppliers and project teams of upcoming inspection expiry dates to ensure timely action.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and data on Plant Safety & Environmental Management, including any issues that arise.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to upskill the site team in plant management and assessment techniques.
  • Collaborate with the project team to manage breakdowns and maintenance requirements for plant and equipment.
  • Monitor and record fuel utilization for each asset to optimize efficiency.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A trade qualification in Mechanical (Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing fleet maintenance, with robust skills in scheduling and strategic planning.
  • Proven expertise in preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault diagnostics, and repairs of Civil/Mining Earthmoving Equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work proactively, exercising initiative and managing time and multiple plant simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • A demonstrable understanding of safe working practices relevant to the role.
