Science Learning Area Manager

The successful applicant will lead the science learning area, driving collaboration, capacity building, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
The school has a rich history dating back to 1921, serving the local community with traditional and innovative programs for students from year 7 to 12.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support a developing science team, focusing on professional growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Promote evidence-based best practice in teaching and learning, using data to inform planning and target interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives, promote wellbeing, and foster partnerships within the community.
- Lead change and innovation, analysing performance data related to the science learning area.
- Develop and guide curriculum leadership within your team to ensure quality teaching for all students.
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa with work rights.
- Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
