ROLE SUMMARY:

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional early learning experiences for children aged 1-5 years.

The educator will nurture curiosity, independence, and a love for learning, while forming collaborative relationships with families to foster a community of trust and respect.

Our preschool program reflects the Reggio Emilia philosophy, giving little ones the best start to their education possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver an engaging, inquiry-based program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, catering to the developmental needs of children aged 1-5 years
  • Maintain comprehensive and ongoing documentation of each child's development, using reflective practices to inform planning and individualised support
  • Conduct observations, assessments, and plan for a small group of children, ensuring their holistic development
  • Curate stimulating and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire curiosity and creativity
  • Foster meaningful, respectful partnerships with families, providing regular updates and involving them in their child's learning journey
  • Collaborate with the broader team to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning culture, contributing to team planning and professional growth
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that meets both regulatory requirements and high standards of care and safety
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Strong understanding of child-led and inquiry-based learning methodologies, with a commitment to the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Experience in early childhood education, with a demonstrated passion for supporting young children's development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, children, and families
  • Adaptability and openness to continuous professional development, staying updated on best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to contribute to team planning and work collaboratively to create a positive, inclusive environment
