About Our Merrylands Service

We are seeking part-time Educators to work with primary school aged children in our Out of School Hours Care service at Merrylands Public School.

The successful candidates will have strong leadership qualities, be passionate and love working with children. They will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated to providing children with the best possible childhood experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement engaging activities for children
  2. Work effectively as a team player and demonstrate initiative
  3. Demonstrate emotional maturity and resilience
  4. Display excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and patience
  5. Hold a current Employee Working with Children check or willingness to obtain

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to encourage and motivate children to participate in activities
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Certificate III/IV in Children's Services or working towards
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Child Protection Certificate
