Emergency Procedures Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Procedures Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting national and international operations through the development, delivery and review of required emergency procedures documentation.

As an Emergency Procedures Specialist, you will support organisational safety and competence in the effective management of emergency situations by developing and delivering training programs tailored to the specific locational and legislative/regulatory requirements of a diverse range of facilities.

Duties Include:

  • Developing and implementing emergency procedures specific to facilities;
  • Undertaking project and research work as required to support emergency response capability;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing response to emergency situations;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and systems which enhance operational outcomes;
  • Ensuring outputs are achieved in support of the strategic direction;
  • Developing and implementing training to fulfill a guiding, mentoring and advisory role;

Essential Requirements

  • Contemporary experience and expertise in development and management of emergency management procedures for geographically dispersed organisations;
  • Ability to develop, conduct, assess and report on the effectiveness of training programs tailored to specific locational and legislative/regulatory requirements;
  • Understanding of demands associated with 24/7 operational environments;
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to operational and professional staff to ensure health and safety during emergency situations;
  • Willingness and capacity to conduct training in all facilities (likely to require travel);
  • Ability to access AFP controlled operational environments;
