Senior Data Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Leader to join our team and lead the development of scalable event ingestion and processing systems.

About the Team:

  • As part of the Product Insights Enablement group, we empower every product team to build confidently with data.
  • The Product Analytics team is responsible for user behaviour analytics, making behavioural data discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable.

About the Role:

  • You will manage a high-impact team working at the intersection of data analytics, platform infrastructure, and frontend instrumentation.
  • You will partner with product, data, and infra teams to ensure these signals are accurate, scalable, and easy to use.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers building the data infrastructure, backend services, and clients to capture and connect behavioural analytics and system telemetry.
  • Drive the design and evolution of scalable event ingestion and processing systems.
  • Partner with teams across product, infra, and data to ensure systems are impactful and reliable.
  • EEmbed privacy-by-design principles into our tracking architecture.
  • Foster a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and inclusive leadership.
  • Help shape the future of how data informs decision-making by supporting other services of the group.

Your Skills:

  • Experience leading engineering teams focused on data platforms and backend infrastructure.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems, event processing, or analytics pipelines.
  • Working with frontend instrumentation at scale and understanding how to manage and evolve clients that are embedded across every page of an application.
  • Comfortable coaching engineers across both frontend and backend, and guiding architecture decisions.
  • Coching and mentoring engineers, with a track record in making people grow and do their best work.
  • A product mindset, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to drive impact.
  • Data ethics and applying privacy-by-design principles in your work.
  • Possionate about empowering others to make data-informed decisions through reliable and accurate data.
  • Clear, concise communication – explaining technical decisions, guiding your team, or aligning with stakeholders.
  • Thriving in ambiguity, setting clear direction, and inspiring alignment across diverse teams.
