Project Manager Job in Canberra

This is a highly strategic role within the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, requiring an experienced project manager to oversee planning, coordination, and governance. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team, contributing to the department's commitment to national leadership on governance, networks, and collaboration.

The role involves:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Director and overseeing the governance framework and delivery, including project artefacts, meeting documents, status reports, briefing, and minutes.
  • Providing high levels of administrative and organisational capabilities.
  • Producing high-quality work and providing accurate advice with limited instruction or guidance.
  • Coaching, mentoring, supporting, and supervising staff members.
  • Becoming an expert in the department's governance framework and project management.

The ideal candidate will have appropriate qualifications in project management and experience in managing secretariat, project governance, and monitoring.
