We are seeking individuals to provide information about Ballarat to a large number of visitors each year. These ambassadors will add to Ballarat's reputation as a friendly, welcoming and culturally vibrant city.
The RoleVolunteer positions are available at the Ballarat Information Centre, approximately 4 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet customers, visitors and community members to the centre.
- Engage with visitors and community in the city centre.
- Conduct tours of the city centre, highlighting significant sites of interest.
- Assist in the delivery of events, aiding the customer experience.
- Possess a strong passion for Ballarat and its history.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Be contactable regularly by email.
- Available for at least one four-hour shift (morning or afternoon) each week for a minimum of one year.
- Be a team player who loves engaging with people.
- Flexible and willing to assist with additional shifts when needed.
- Keen to participate in ongoing learning and training.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to our values.
- Confident speaking to groups of people.
