Job Title:

A seasoned Risk Manager with extensive experience in General Insurance operations is required to lead a team in managing assurance/audit and operational risk.


About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of the Compliance & Audit Framework for our General Insurance operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigation of risks.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to create, build, and drive quality outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Partnering with business leaders to develop and execute comprehensive audit plans, prepare insightful reports and present findings to senior management and governing bodies
  2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, external auditors, and internal teams, as well as acting as the key liaison with senior leadership and risk governing bodies
  3. Interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, and contractual compliance requirements specific to the General Insurance sector
  4. Investigating operational incidents and control failures and monitoring the progress of remedial actions
  5. Working with the wider Risk Team to identify, assess, and provide advice on mitigations for divisional risks across the General Insurance business

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk, compliance, audit, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in risk, compliance, and/or audit, with a strong focus on General Insurance operations
  • Leadership Skills: Proven success in leading and embedding a quality improvement culture within an organisation
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legislation, regulations, and contracts specific to General Insurance
