Position Overview

The Adelaide Festival Centre is seeking a dedicated programming expert to assist in the coordination of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for the arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional festival experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of Programming - Commercial, the primary focus of this role is to develop, execute, and uphold schedules, systems, and operational procedures that ensure the successful execution of the festival. This includes:

  • Creating and managing databases
  • Coordinating artist itineraries
  • Organizing artist rehearsal schedules
  • Arranging travel and accommodation logistics

Moreover, this position plays a vital role in the Class of Cabaret program, a SACE accredited initiative aimed at high school students that culminates in performance outcomes.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates should have:

  • Proven experience in a festival or major event setting
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective project coordination abilities
  • Experience in travel planning and logistics
  • Budget management skills
  • Administrative proficiency, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and database management
  • Excellent time management capabilities and a track record of meeting deadlines
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and seek assistance when needed
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in engaging with young individuals

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is $65,579.
