Key Responsibilities- Assist Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in planning and organization
- Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice
- Prepare preliminary sketches, working drawings (AutoCAD), and specifications
- Prepare, edit, and revise plans, maps, charts, and drawings
- Coordinate works programs
- Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations, and standards
- Calculate costs and estimate time scales
- Produce accurate, scaled drawings that detail the specifications for sandstone wall construction
- Detail the types and quantities of materials required for each project
- Revise drawings as needed to accommodate changes or unexpected issues during the construction process
- Ensure that the design and construction process adheres to high standards by providing precise plans
- Help clients and stakeholders visualize the final product through clear, detailed drawings
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Draftsperson, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of CAD software and technical drawing practices
- Courses might include subjects like architectural drafting, civil drafting, or design drafting
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to identify potential issues in designs and propose practical solutions
- Having a portfolio that showcases previous projects and technical drawings can be a significant advantage
- Permanent, full-time position
- $73,500.00 – $75,000.00 per year
- 8 hour shift
