Role Overview:

Job Title: Assistant Watchhouse Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to perform watchhouse functions at our facilities.

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the administration, supervision, and monitoring of persons in custody and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating and monitoring electronic surveillance systems to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records and files, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Processing individuals received into custody, ensuring adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Providing care and support for prisoners, focusing on their welfare, comfort, and security.
  • Preparing and maintaining health requirements and medical needs of prisoners, coordinating necessary medical assistance.
Requirements:
  • A valid Open C Class Driver's Licence is mandatory.
  • Compliance with the Code of Dress and Appearance is essential.
  • Ability to work a shift rotational roster, including 24-hour, 7-day shifts.
