Job Description

As a senior procurement specialist, you will be responsible for leading complex sourcing initiatives across multiple areas. You will work closely with the head of procurement to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that meet the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in procurement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and supply chain management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as business, finance, or logistics.
