Design Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Design Engineer to lead design initiatives and provide technical support across various projects involving Thickener technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and guide engineers, designers, and draftspersons in ensuring technical accuracy and best practice.
- Oversee mechanical engineering aspects of projects and integrate with other design disciplines.
- Prepare engineering documentation including technical specifications, datasheets, and equipment/maintenance manuals.
- Conduct fabrication workshop and site inspections of plant and equipment as required.
- Participate in and lead cold commissioning of domestic and international projects when needed.
- A degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Structural engineering is preferred.
- 5–8 years' design experience in medium to large process industry projects (preferably in mining industry).
- Strong knowledge of structural and mechanical engineering principles and practices, including fluid mechanics and equipment design.
- Proven experience with design tools such as FEA packages (Strand7 and Microstran). SolidWorks (3D modelling) skill is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities across all project phases.
