Role Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a new innovative Science faculty, fostering a collaborative environment that drives excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality faculty systems and processes that leverage data-driven pedagogy, informing high-impact teaching and driving measurable improvement for diverse learners.
  • Build and sustain a positive faculty culture, engaging with local communities to enhance the school's profile and promote meaningful student involvement.
  • Contribute as a foundational member of the school leadership team, driving strategic initiatives through collaborative planning and fostering a shared vision of excellence that elevates student learning.

Requirements:

  • Proven teaching experience with capacity to drive improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage individual and team performance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to Departmental policies, including Aboriginal education.

Selection Criteria:
