Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment. You will be required to work a fortnightly rotational roster, with 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of night shifts. Your shift may include 12 hour periods, with duties as a Concierge during day shifts and as a Security Guard at night.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet internal and external customers, sign in visitors and answer incoming calls.
  • Assist with CCTV footage requests, conduct floor checks and provide escorts for guests and contractors.
  • Conduct car park patrols and ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the site.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on service delivery progress and develop strong business relationships with CBRE and their representatives.
  • Create a proactive, responsive and productive work culture that delivers excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
  • Experience in incident management, including fire alarm responses, difficult persons, access control breaches and incidents involving emergency services.
  • A Baseline, NV1 or NV2 AGVSA Government Clearance is essential.
  • A current ACT Security License and Certificate II in Security Operations are also required.
  • Australian Citizenship is necessary due to government clearance requirements.
  • A current ACT Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate are highly desirable.
