Pharmacy Support Role
We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our retail pharmacy in Launceston, Tasmania. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, processing sales and handling point-of-sale transactions accurately, assisting in preparing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the pharmacy is clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process sales and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Assist in preparing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Maintain stock levels by unpacking orders, restocking shelves, and rotating stock
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Answer general customer queries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
- Support administrative tasks such as labelling, filing, and stocktaking
- Promote pharmacy products and services in line with customer needs
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills and a proactive mindset
- Previous experience in a retail or hospitality role is essential
