About the Role

We are currently seeking a Site Health and Safety Advisor to work closely with our Site Health & Safety Manager and Construction Manager. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated safety team and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Implement and oversee site health and safety programs in alignment with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective incident investigation processes are in place.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all levels of project personnel to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide clear and effective communication, negotiation, and mediation on safety-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing site-specific health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Providing training and guidance to site personnel on health and safety procedures.
  • Investigating incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

To be considered for the Site Health and Safety Advisor role, you will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Safety Advisor role.
  • Proven experience in a FIFO site position.
  • Tertiary Qualification in WHS/OHS.
  • Ability to effectively influence and engage with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
