About the Opportunity

We are seeking highly skilled Packaging Development Specialists to join our team in North Sydney Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our marketing innovation and sustainability goals.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience (~5 years) leading packaging development for projects with cross-functional teams, ideally within an FMCG and manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of sustainable packaging technologies and Australia's packaging targets (APCO) is highly regarded.

You will be responsible for managing packaging development for innovation and renovation projects, supporting our sustainability strategy, and developing, maintaining, and reviewing technical specifications. Additionally, you will project manage the packaging component of marketing innovation and renovation projects, support our Millicent Mill facility, and 3rd-party projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing packaging with a focus on delivering functional and safe packaging with improved sustainable credentials while remaining commercially viable and meeting agreed timelines.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reviewing technical specifications, including sustainability data.
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders cross-functionally to articulate and identify business priorities, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience (~5 years) leading packaging development for projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to handle multiple and varied project types.
  • Prior experience in packaging development methods, knowledge of print technology, and artwork approval.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, sustainable packaging technologies, awareness of Australia's packaging targets.
  • Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office: Adobe, SAP, pallet design software & PREP systems.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
