About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Educator to join our Children Services team at YMCA NSW. As a 2IC, you will play a key role in designing and delivering a safe, effective, and fun out-of-school-hours care service that aligns with our values and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Coordinator in developing and implementing programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the service, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for children and staff.
  • Lead a team of Educators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families, schools, and community partners to promote the service and support the needs of children.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Children's Services, such as a Certificate III, IV, or Diploma.
  • Experience in leading a team and managing daily operations in an out-of-school-hours care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, as well as a valid Working with Children Check.
