We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team at Sulzer Australia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QESH) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective safety strategies and programs to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Conduct risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate hazards
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with operational supervisors and managers to foster a safety-focused culture
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, regulatory, and Sulzer safety requirements
- Lead internal and external safety audits to ensure the effectiveness of our safety management system
- Degree or Diploma in Safety (mandatory)
- Workplace Train the Trainer qualifications (highly desirable)
- Minimum 7 years operational safety role in an industrial workshop or manufacturing environment
- Leadership in cultural or organisational change initiatives, safety systems implementation, root cause analysis, and working knowledge of WHS legislation / regulations / codes of practice
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate up to 50% of the time
