Medical Authority Position Overview

The Repatriation Medical Authority plays a critical role in determining Statements of Principles for diseases, injuries or deaths related to military service based on sound medical scientific evidence.

Main Responsibilities and Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess exceptional academic credentials as a registered medical practitioner or scientist with extensive clinical experience.

We are seeking professionals with expertise in psychiatry, musculoskeletal medicine, and/or epidemiology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive understanding of these areas and medical scientific leadership.

You will also require excellent stakeholder management capabilities, intellectual rigor, and high ethical standards.

About the Role

RMA members work part-time appointments made by the Minister for Veterans Affairs up to five years.

The RMA is supported by a Secretariat consisting of administrative staff located in Brisbane.
