About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy and Project Officer to join our team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. As a key member of our Community Partnerships and Priorities team, you will play a critical role in providing sound policy advice on processes and programs within Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of legislation, policy, and procedures related to Aboriginal cultural heritage management.
  • Provide expert advice on processes and programs within Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania.
  • Research, analyze, and assess proposals related to the management and conservation of Aboriginal cultural heritage values.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including other government agencies, community groups, and interest groups.
  • Represent the Department in various forums and meetings.
  • Manage projects, coordinate project teams, and supervise staff as required.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
  • A current motor vehicle driver's license.
