Tax Professional Role
">As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This involves playing a crucial role in the preparation and review of tax filings, supporting audits end-to-end, and advising stakeholders on key tax matters.
You will work closely with finance teams and external consultants to optimize tax liabilities and participate in tax planning strategies for new projects. Additionally, you will assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, prepare necessary documentation, and defend the company's tax positions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) for various entities operating in Poland.
- Ensuring compliance with Polish and international tax laws and regulations.
- Monitoring and implementing changes in Polish tax legislation that affect the company.
- Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting processes.
- Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assisting in preparing tax-related provisions and disclosures for financial statements.
- Providing internal stakeholders with advice on tax-efficient structures and operations.
- Collaborating with finance teams and external consultants to optimize tax liabilities.
- Participating in tax planning strategies for new projects.
- Assisting with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Preparing necessary documentation for audits and defending the company's tax positions.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline tax processes and implementing automation where possible.
- Contributing to the development of internal tax policies and procedures within the FSSC framework.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- At least 5 years of experience in a tax-related role, preferably in a shared service center or multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly VAT and corporate income tax.
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., QAD, AX, Navision).
- Daily use of Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high organization.
- Great communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Fluency in English and confidence in expressing ideas clearly.
