Job Title: WHS Business Partner

We are seeking a driven and experienced Work Health and Safety professional to support our community in Albury. This newly created position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of our workforce.

This role will involve leading Work Health and Safety initiatives, fostering a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective Work Health and Safety systems, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and site safety reviews across the Southern Community
  • Champion a safe and caring culture by partnering with leaders and staff
  • Support investigations and implement corrective actions following incidents or near misses
  • Analyse safety data and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field
  • Experience in a Work Health and Safety role, ideally within aged care, community services, or health
  • In-depth knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and educate others
