Job Description

We are seeking a Paralegal professional to play a vital role in our Legal Team.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant legal tertiary qualification or be working towards one, and the ability to work in a trauma-informed way. They will also need to demonstrate an understanding of and appreciation for the values, traditions, belief systems, and experiences of First Nations People.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting lawyers with day-to-day management of client files
  • Drafting correspondence and documents
  • Conducting thorough legal research
  • Coordinating record requests and related enquiries
  • Collating records for compensation referrals
  • Analysing client records to assist with statement preparation
  • Providing support to clients with enquiries and coordinating internal and external appointments

The successful candidate will have sound computer skills, a willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and a commitment to social justice. They will also be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail and work independently as well as collaboratively.
