Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Front End team at Costco North Lakes - Brisbane. As a Front End Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional member service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Assist Members: Greet members warmly and assist them in loading their orders onto the conveyor belt, determining their packing preferences, and answering any questions they may have.
  • Pack and Load Orders: Pack member orders into boxes and load them onto a separate trolley or flatbed, checking packaging for tampering and following all safety and security procedures.
  • Support Cashiers: Run for items as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly, transfer items not on the belt to a separate trolley or flatbed, and follow proper departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a Clean Environment: Maintain the cleanliness of the register area and general front end area, cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.
  • Operate Equipment: Retrieve trolleys and flatbeds from the parking area using a rope with a clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 trolleys together, and keep the lot area free of debris and sweep in front of the building.
  • Perform Related Tasks: Perform related tasks such as setting up and closing duties for the department, returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks
  • Assist Other Areas: Assist other areas in the department as necessary.
  • Assist in Other Departments: Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Operate Mechanical Equipment: Operate the mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler.
