Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Care Support Specialist to join our team in West Launceston. The successful candidate will provide domestic assistance, intimate personal care, social support, and implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality, person-centered care to individuals aged 65 and above in the West Launceston community.
  • To work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and support.
  • To maintain accurate records of client interactions and interventions, adhering to relevant legislative requirements and organisational policies.
About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position available, with flexibility to work between 7am – 7pm Mon – Fri (with some weekend shifts). The role offers a diverse range of visits to clients’ homes, covering all areas throughout the Prospect, West Tamar, Deloraine, Launceston, Hadspen, Carrick and surrounding suburbs.

The base hourly rate for this role is $30.94 (depending on qualifications), plus superannuation, and eligibility for not-for-profit salary packaging.

Requirements
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or its equivalent.
  • A valid driver's licence and a registered, reliable, fully insured motor vehicle.
  • Confidence in utilising various forms of technology, such as smartphones or tablets.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A current National Police Check or a willingness to obtain one.
